Water level and consumption in washer extractors

THIS INFORMATION PERTAINS TO WASHER-EXTRACTORS ONLY.

What should the water levels be, in inches, in my machine?

The person to best determine this is your chemical supplier.  He knows best, by his titrations, on your machine, for the chemicals he supplies, type of goods processed and water temperature used. However, the following are the levels, set at the factory, on each size machine:

Machine ModelLOWHIGH
30015, 300227"10"
36021, 36026, 360308"13"
42026, 4203210"16"
48032, 48036, 4804011"16"
5203811"16"
600449"14"
64040, 6405010"16"
6404612"16"
72044, 72046, 72058, 7207510"16"

How many gallons of water, per cycle, does my machine use and how much of that is hot?

The quick and easy rule of thumb, for any washer-extractor, is about 2.5 gal. of water per pound of goods.  About 70% of the 2.5 gallons is hot water.  Remember that this is an average for total pounds of goods over a period of time.  The water usage per cycle (or formula) will vary according to how many fills and drains are in the formula.

To calculate a specific formula's water consumption, please refer to the attached worksheet.
When using the worksheet, you must have the formula (s) written down so that you can transfer it to the worksheet.  If you have any questions, please contact the Milnor Tech Support Department.

To use the worksheet you must click "enable macros" and open as "read only".
